We inspire women to embrace a grounded way of allocating their time, attention, energy, money, and everyday life that prioritizes the essentials and a sense of personal freedom - no matter your income level.
We create genuine, real-talk style content and affordable tools that support women in designing a deeply intentional life. Through a mindset of sufficiency and the practice of small, steady steps, we help you rebuild your life on a more aligned foundation. Our work is about redefining success, simplifying, and cultivating real fulfillment—starting exactly where you are.
Our Promise is to welcome you without judgment, pressure, and overwhelm—and guide you toward a more self-sufficient and satisfying life through simple, intentional changes that honor your reality and individual preferences.
Hi, I'm Tabby, Founder of The Sufficient Life! I wanted to share a bit about why I decided to create this space for you. There was a time when I had the "American Dream" of success: the high-paying job, the house, the family life. And yet... I was deeply unfulfilled. I wanted something different, but I didn’t know what.
As I approached midlife, I started asking myself bigger questions, like:
Is this all there is? Should I change jobs? Start a business? Move? Leave my marriage? What is it that I am really meant to do in this life? How do I fulfill my purposes? How do I move forward?
Eventually, I did choose to leave my corporate job and jump into entrepreneurship, cutting our household income in half. Later, we moved to a new state and soon after, we divorced. I was a single mom with no income of my own and no clear roadmap forward.
Questioning My "Enough-ness"
The road I chose wasn’t easy. Many of my business ideas didn’t take off. Money ran out. I took low-paying part-time jobs just to keep the lights on. I made difficult choices to walk away from relationships that were financially secure but emotionally draining. I walked the edge of poverty and homelessness.
I’ve had to wrestle with the emotional weight and guilt of it all—including the belief that I wasn’t “enough” to succeed or create a life I could truly love.
But somehow, I stayed committed to this truth:
I am not here to live a life of quiet dissatisfaction.
Seeking Sufficiency
Over time, I realized that what I was truly searching for wasn’t just a new job or more income—it was an entirely new way of seeing and living. I needed a new worldview. New values. A gentler pace. Quality time with my daughter.
What I wanted wasn’t more stuff—it was enough of life's essentials.
Today, I still don’t have it all figured out. I haven’t “made it” in the traditional sense. But what I have made is a life that feels like mine—full of purpose, clarity, joy, and peace.
A life guided by sufficiency.
To me, sufficiency means:
More Than an Amount
Sufficiency isn't just about the amount of money we make—it’s about our mindset, how we choose to allocate our time, what we give attention to, how we honor our personal rhythm, how we show up in our relationships, and how we care for ourselves and the world around us.
The Sufficient Life isn’t just a brand. It’s a mindset, a belief system, a way of living, and a practical path for women—especially in midlife—who are ready to rewrite the rules.
If you’re exhausted by the pressure to do more, be more, or constantly strive for some version of perfection—you’re not alone. You’re not broken. You’re simply ready for something resonant and real.
Let’s walk this path together.
